In the four gospels of the New Testament, Jesus personally, consistently taught about and demonstrated a different way of life for His disciples to live. He showed them how to live every day seeing the world and people through God's eyes, and with His heart. He modeled a life for them where God's love and compassion for people influenced every conversation and motivated every action. He demonstrated how to operate in power and authority over the devil and enforced his defeat over peoples lives. Everything He said and did mirrored a perfect reflection of a life in total submission and harmony with the Father, through the Holy Spirit. Then Jesus lay down His life so that all mankind can know Him and live - just like Him! The disciples may have had the wonderful privilege of seeing Jesus face to face, of walking and talking and being with Him in the natural, physical sense. But did you know, what we get to experience in our relationship with the Lord is not in any way less remarkable! Now we have His Spirit living in us, there is never a moment we will be separated from His presence. We don't even have to rely on our own ability or strength to live for Him because His own victorious Spirit has become our live-in mentor. He teaches and guides and empowers us to do all things in His perfect way! He is constantly speaking, encouraging, and guiding us. All we need to do is stay in tune to hear His voice. Keeping our hearts and minds filled with the truth of His Word and praying in our heavenly language is a most effective way to keep us in perfect harmony with God's heart and thoughts - and they are glorious and victorious - all the time! What a privilege to have a live-in mentor to continuously learn and draw strength from!
