Stretch Out Your Arm

In Exodus 14:13-16 we read how the people of Israel found themselves helplessly trapped between being captured by their enemies or drowned in the Red Sea. When Moses cried out to the Lord for help, this was His response, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward! Lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the Israelite's shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” God had already given Moses the authority he needed to declare and act in His power. He was waiting for him to stretch out his arm and take a strong grip on faith and declare what was impossible with man because he knew it was possible with God! In Matthew 28:18, Jesus declares that all authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Him. In His very next breath He tells us to go into all the world changing the world in that same authority! How do we do it? We do it in Him! We realise that the One Who lives within us is far greater than anyone who is in the world! There may be much opposition to the Gospel you carry, you may even feel trapped by your circumstance - unable to move forward. But you have been given the Name that is above every other name, you have His irrefutable Word and you carry His Spirit within you. So stand tall in your faith, stretch out your arm and declare those things that are not - as though they are!
