A Firm Grip on Faith

Any professional marathon runner knows how imperative it is to develop the stamina or staying power to stay in the race. Otherwise there is no hope for winning. So it is in our walk of faith. If we don't develop the staying power of trusting the Lord without wavering, there will be no lasting results of it. As physical stamina is needed for excellence in things physical, and mental stamina needed for solving complex problems, the same is the spiritual stamina needed to deal with all of life's challenges that seek to rob us of and weaken our faith in God. If you feel you have lost your firm hold on faith and have been battered about by the storms of life, or found yourself distracted by things that have taken you off the course of victory -it's time to deliberately and purposefully take a new grip of your faith in God. To stand firm and strong in the truth of His Word and to move forward with purpose - doing exactly what He tells you to do. You have been given the power and the authority to take a firm grip of the Word of God and declare its truth over every situation. So stand firm, fix your eyes on the Lord, and walk victoriously in the path His Word has laid out for you. And as a result, those following your example will be strengthened in their faith too.
