God's strong and powerful words, through Isaiah, reminds us of Who He is. His extraordinary strength and magnificent power set the entire universe into existence. Everything functions by His command. His Word says nothing is impossible for Him and that He is the One Who will always make a way for us. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, "God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently." Did you know that word assayed means to test or prove the content, nature and quality of a substance? In context, this verse is speaking about overcoming any temptation or trial that has the potential to lead us off course of God's perfect will for us. It doesn't say the temptation or trial came from Him, James 1:13 says, "Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one." Rather, when trials and temptations do come, when we choose to keep our eyes and hearts focused on Jesus, and His Word, giving ourselves to the wonderful and glorious truth it has for us, it will go to work for us! As our hearts re-engage with His, we will know a confidence that transcends all understanding, as the God of heaven and earth leads us through to victory. With your heart set and fixed on the Lord, delighting in His Word, you will see how He makes your crooked path straight and leads you out and draws you in to Himself. His Word is true He will make a way for you.
