Working heartily unto the Lord

Work is engaging in an activity which involves mental or physical effort to achieve a result. Whatever task we commit ourselves to, we must wholeheartedly give ourselves to it, as though we were doing it for the Lord. Romans 8:8 says that doing things not being motivated by God's Spirit cannot please or be acceptable to Him. So, be sure to to begin each day having your heart in tune with His. In all you do, make pleasing Him your priority, let that be what's on your mind when you speak to your colleagues or those with whom you converse. Let it be what motivates you to give your best effort into what's set before you to do. In all that you put your hand to, do it with a grateful heart and a spirit of excellence. As you do, you can trust the Holy Spirit to provide you with the wisdom and strength you need to get each task done, far better than you could without Him. When we choose to make the Lord the One we work for, we can rely on the Holy Spirit to be our partner and bring the results that will bring glory to His Name. So work heartily for the Lord in whatever is given to you today, and let Him open the doors to prosper and promote you.
