Your Deposit of Heavenly Wealth

In the natural, like common pottery, we can be fragile and flawed, and break easily. But the Word of God says we posses this precious treasure that is a deposit of excessive, inexhaustible wealth in our spirits. This treasure is the power of the Holy Ghost that will cause us to walk in the full measure of His wisdom, love, goodness and every other unstoppable, unfailing force that is found in His glory. In fact, when we learn how to tap into this treasure, and have it influence our lives, it will be so obvious that it's not from us, but from God Himself, living and working in us. In Luke 12:33, the same word treasure, meaning deposit of great wealth, is found. In fact, it's discussed from verse 32 - 35. Jesus is speaking about living God's kingdom way of life here on earth. He explains how when we make His priorities our hearts desire, we will enjoy the benefits of the inexhaustible treasures of heaven. Then in verse 35, He tells us how we do this. It says we must keep our loins girded, and our lamps burning. Now Ephesians 6:14, speaks about our loins being girded with the belt of truth. That belt of truth is the Word of God, securely fastened in place, in our lives. When we are daily living by the truth of God's Word, we activate that heavenly deposit of God's glory that's inside of us. Verse 35 also mentions we must keep our lamps burning. That oil that keeps the fire of God burning bright inside us, is His Holy Spirit. Did you notice the Bible says we are the ones who must keep that fire burning. It's our responsibility to keep plugged in and in tune with the Holy Spirit Who is already inside us! It's time to turn off the distractions that so easily pull our attention away from spending quality time with the Lord. I'm not talking about our jobs or your families, I'm talking about spending less time investing in things that are not filling us with the truth of God's Word, and increasing our desire for Him. There is a deposit of heavenly wealth inside of us, so let's press into it today and live in His fullness!
