When a child of God knows who he is in Christ Jesus, and understands his God-given authority that is backed by the power of God, no power of the devil can stand against him. And when he keeps his heart full of God's Word, speaking it out in faith and doing what it says to do, he becomes a pillar of strength and a safe refuge for others. The Bible says he will be like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land. In the world we are living in today, there is so much heartache and turmoil. People are lost in fear and hopelessness. But if we are wholeheartedly going after the things of God, we become a life line of hope and peace to them, because of the Presence of God that's strong inside of us. Philippians 2:15-16 says, “That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world, holding out [to it] and offering [to all men] the Word of Life,..." Isn't it amazing that through our partnership with the Holy Spirit, we can stand out and make a difference! We can affect the lives and destinies of others, by bringing them into contact with the life and power of God.
