There is nothing more powerful than God's spoken Word. When you speak it from the conviction of your heart, it carries the same authority as though God Himself was speaking it. In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, it says every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration), and when we apply its wisdom to our lives, it makes us, "complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.". That word proficient means competent and skilled. God's Word not only completes us, it causes us to be competent and skilled, and thoroughly equipped, to do all that God has called us to do. That's because God's Word is His way of doing things, and His way is perfect, every time! Isaiah 55:9 says, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts." Then, in verse 11, it goes on to say, "...So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." God is telling us there is a better way to live than using our own reasoning and trusting in our own limited wisdom. His way of understanding is far greater than ours, so He urges us to learn from Him, to take the wisdom from His Word, apply it to every area of our lives and speak it's truth with confidence. God's Word has been tested and tried by Himself! The world was created by the very words He spoke, by just one word from Jesus, demons fled, and by His instruction, an angry storm was stilled. The sick were healed, hearts were restored, and the dead raised, just by His Words of faith. Words that came from the compassion and conviction of His heart.
