The Branch that Bears Fruit

Being fruitful, means there is evidence of God's presence being at work in our lives. When we remain in Jesus, as a branch remains vitally connected to the vine, we have a continuous supply of His life and wisdom and love flowing into our lives. That means, moment by moment, we have everything we need to overcome each situation we face. We see things through His perspective, knowing His good and pleasing, and perfect plan will work all things for our good. When we live each day being aware of the bottomless reservoir of power that is in us, for victory, it affects everything about us. We think and talk and walk with a joyful confidence, knowing that we carry the life and love of God everywhere we go. In the verses that follow John 15:4, Jesus makes it very clear that remaining in Him has everything to do with His Words remaining in our hearts . When we love God's Word, we delight in doing what it says, not out of obligation, but rather out of absolute pleasure. That's because we know first hand that God is good, and so are all His ways! And we fully understand the benefits of loving and living by their wisdom. Choose to delight in being connected to Christ Jesus like the branch is connected to the vine. This will cause His power and love to flow mightily inside you, making it evident that His presence is at work in you, to work through you - so that you will bear the fruit He expects from you.
