Praise the Name of the Lord

David understood the value of trusting in the Name of the Lord. He passed down that truth to His Son Solomon, who in Proverbs 18:10, referred to the Name of the Lord as being a strong tower. He said the righteous can run into it and be strong, safe, and high above evil. When God used Moses to set His people free from the captivity of the Egyptians, He told Moses to refer to Him as "I AM". He would prove to all the world that He would be whomever His people needed and called on Him to be. And in the book of Romans, we are told that whosoever calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved. In the book of Ephesians 1:2, we are told that Jesus has been given the Name far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. It's His Name that carries healing and deliverance, salvation and restoration, and it's in His Name that we confidently trust. Spend time today thinking about what the Word says about that beautiful and powerful Name of Jesus. Then, begin to rejoice as never before, in the truth that He has extended that Name to you and me! By faith, we can trust in the Name of Jesus to bring deliverance, healing and His power into every situation we face. Praise Him from a grateful heart for the victory we can enjoy, because of the Name of Jesus!
