Audacious Faith

According to various dictionaries, the word "audacious" means to be extremely bold or daring, recklessly brave and fearless. Joshua was a man of audacious faith. God commanded him to be "strong and very courageous" as he took over from Moses, as the leader of the nation of Israel. He was so bold in his faith, he dared to speak to the sun and the moon to stand still - and they obeyed him! The sun and moon stood still just long enough to ensure that the people of Israel received their victory in battle. Joshua could speak with such bold confidence to the sun and moon because he knew that God was with Him. Today, as you go before the Lord, seek His face concerning the situation you may be facing. As you wait on Him, trust Him to give you His Word on your situation, then in all boldness and fearless confidence declare that word over it. Just like Joshua, you can rest in the truth that not only is God with you, He is also backing every word you have spoken in faith. Remember whenever you declare the Word of God this way, it will go forth and be established. As it was with Joshua, it will be with you, be strong and courageous as your audacious faith causes you to become the person God has called you to be.
