Sunday, 01 April 2018 | Reading taken from Philippians 2:2 (NLT)
If there is one thing we, as Christians, need to focus more on, it's unity. In this verse, Paul is expressing his heart by specifically pointing out how the unity amongst the believers in the church of Philippi, brings him great joy. If being in agreement and working together towards a common purpose brings joy to Paul's heart, we can only imagine what joy our unity brings to the heart of our Heavenly Father. In fact, the Word says that God delights so much in our unity, that when He sees it, He commands His blessing and breaths everlasting life into it (Psalm 133:1-3). When believers choose to be in agreement with each other concerning the truth of God's Word, and walk in God's love with with each other, being single-minded on advancing His Kingdom, His blessing will be evident. Today, reach out to a believer who is not part of your local church, encourage them in the Word, pray with them and be a blessing to them. You can be a catalyst of God's blessing by the unity you inspire.
