Love endures

Many marriages and relationships don't last because they aren't built on the foundation of God's love. While life is good and things are going well, relationships seem to flourish. But as soon as challenges begin to apply pressure, giving-up becomes the most popular option. People are so quick to give up on love and each other. Then, when we consider how since the beginning of time, God has chosen to love mankind, even when His love is consistently rejected, abused and misunderstood. Knowing full well that He would suffer the worst rejection of all, Jesus still chose to love us with the greatest love anyone has or ever will demonstrate for others. He endured tremendous suffering for hours, before and on the cross, to show us a better love, that endures and conquers all, even death. Anyone who chooses to accept and receive this love, and welcome it into their hearts, will know it's transforming power. As children of His love, it's appropriate for us to demonstrate it freely and generously in all of our relationships. We don't love by our own human limitations, but by His Spirit, Who continuously pours His own love into our hearts. Today, open your heart to the powerful, unfailing love of God and use it as the standard by which you extend love to others.
