Traditionally, Christmas is the time Christians, across the globe, choose to celebrate the gift of the birth of Jesus Christ. In the world we live, we realise the need to celebrate Him every single day, and eagerly press into His presence for the strength and wisdom we need to overcome. Jesus said that if we draw near to Him, meaning give sincere attention to His presence that lives within us, we will receive rest. That rest is not an idle state of mind, nor is it the absence of trying circumstances. Rather, it's coming to a place where we know and experience the fullness of God through Jesus, in the midst of hardships. In God we have all we need for victory in this life. His Word gives us life and peace and wisdom to think and act as He would. Make this season a time where you priorities entering His place of rest above all else. Know that in Jesus, all your burdens and the weight of the world are taken care of. Let's determine to rest in His saving grace, as His healing, transforming power has His way in us.
