Be still

Saturday, 15 July 2017 | Reading taken from Job 37:14

Even though Job's friend was critical and judgmental of him, he did offer a good piece of advice. He told Job to stand still, and consider God's works. Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the stresses and challenges of every day life? Do you need a fresh perspective to distract you from the feeling of trouble lurking around the corner and the threat of hopelessness weighing down upon you? Even yet, do you need the supernatural power of God to move in your circumstances? Then take the advice given to Job. Decide to be still, meditate on the goodness of your God and wait on Him. He will be the lifter of your head and a very present help in your time of trouble! You can trust in Him and His Word to raise you up and get you through anything and everything you face in this life! Be still and wait on Him.
