In the natural, young David was no match for the giant named Goliath. There was no possible way he could defeat that mean, skilled, fighting machine. That's how everyone saw it that day. But what they did not see, was the covenant relationship young David had with His God. For years, he had been groomed and trained in knowing and trusting Him. This challenge was not Goliath verses David, it was the giant against David's God. An impossible challenge for the proud, obnoxious foe.
