Not only does the Lord instruct us to choose life - He shows us how to practically and literally do so! Firstly, we make a decision to love Him, allowing the Holy Spirit to pour His love into our hearts and influence every area of our lives (Romans 5:5). Secondly, we choose to obey His voice and make His Word our final authority. And thirdly, we choose to cling to Him as our vital necessity in this life, being vitally and intimately connected to Him. Then, we will know the reality of the fullness of the Blessing He has promised us - all the days of our lives!
