Turning the other cheek

To return aggression with aggression, only produces injured losers. Negative retaliation leads to continued strife and hurt, whether physical or emotional. Revengeful attacks never produce peace or life but are destructive for both parties. Self control is a powerful fruit of the Holy Spirit, it enables us to dissolve the most destructive outburst, by stepping back and holding our tongues when it's necessary to give peace the upper hand.
