Jesus warns us to not live by double standards. We should not proclaim to want peace, then provoke anger. Nor should we proclaim love and then entice hatred in others. How can we ask forgiveness for our multitude of sins, yet are unwilling to forgive those who wrong us? Jesus paid the ultimate price to wipe clean the debt of sin and condemnation. To embrace His forgiveness, we too, must forgive – unconditionally!
