James 1:22 (AMPC): "But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]."

The key to living a life overflowing in the blessing, favour and victory of God is obedience to His Word. The Bible tells of many instances where obedience to God's instructions resulted in unprecedented blessing, especially when the odds were against it. One such story is the miracle that took place in 1 Kings 17, with the prophet Elijah and the widow. The widow and her son were victims of a terrible drought, yet her obedience to instruction saved both their lives and caused them to live on, without lack. In Judges 7, Gideon obeyed the Lord's instructions and his small army of 300 men were valiant against a multitude of enemy armies, whose camels alone were without number, as the grains of sand on the seashore. As children of God, we cannot allow ignorance to rob us from living in the favour and blessing of God. We have access to the wisdom of God's Word every day; including so many different resources readily available and completely affordable to explain, teach, and help us grasp its truth to practically apply it to our daily lives. As you choose to apply God's wise principles to your life, you will open the doors of favour and blessing for your life, as it was for those recorded in the Bible.
