Proverbs 28:1 (KJV): "...the righteous are bold as a lion."
If there is one thing that is required in the body of Christ, it is bold faith! This boldness isn't arrogance; it's a confidence where we are secure, sure and certain of who we are in Christ Jesus - and Who He is in us. In the Hebrew translation, the word "bold" can also mean "care free", meaning to be without worry, or to be free from the weight of the cares of life. A lion, walking about in its natural habitat, has no care in the world. He is confident and bold to claim and protect his territory, and roam about without any fear of a natural predator. As children of God, we are expected to live this life with the same confidence. Our enemy, the devil, has already been defeated by the finished work of the cross. Every promise in the Word of God is ours to have and enjoy. Victory over sickness, poverty and oppression is our portion. We have been given the heart of God to reach out to those who don't know Him, and the power and authority to see them set free to live in the same confidence we have in Christ. Understand, we are the righteous and can boldly live in the protection and provision God has promised us, without fear. Be bold and step out in faith today!
