Philippians 3:9 (AMPC): "... that I may [actually] be found and known as in Him, not having any [self-achieved] righteousness ... but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ ... the [truly] right standing with God, which comes from God by [saving] faith."
Paul's chief desire was to be found in Christ so much so that when people observed his life, they would know he was in Him. When people encounter you, do they encounter the Person of Jesus? Paul goes on to say that the only way to achieve this is through a genuine, personal revelation of our right-standing with God, which can only come by faith. We will never carry the Presence of God so others can recognise Him in us without spending quality time with Him, in His Word. That's where faith to know who we are in God comes from. This is an on-going process where the Holy Spirit reveals the true nature of Jesus to us, and as we fall in love with Him, our faith in Him grows stronger and deeper; and we become transformed into His image - from the inside out. We begin to see people and the purpose of life through His eyes. We begin to speak and act like He does - full of faith, motivated by a sincere love. Jesus lived His life on earth as an example for us, and His Holy Spirit empowers us to know Him and live like Him. This is the way we draw others to Him. Today, understand that by His Word and Spirit - you are found in Him, and He is seen in you.
