Hebrews 10:23 (KJV): "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)"

Faith is a non-negotiable necessity for the life of every believer. The patriarchs of old lived victoriously by faith and their legacy will remain for eternity. The truth is the victorious qualities of life are all anchored by our personal faith in God. Foolishness is to belittle the importance the role faith must play in our lives, especially since it's impossible to please God without it! We must make up our minds to study, understand and apply the principles of faith in our lives if we are going to overcome and live victoriously. Some translations of Hebrews 10:23 say we are to hold fast to the confession of our faith. As we give ourselves to the truth of God's Word, meditating on its practical wisdom, and allow it to move from just an intellectual knowledge to something we believe in our hearts to be true - our faith grows. Now, when we speak about what has become alive inside us, our words carry an authority. They become weighty with the creative power of God and what we say brings life and change. Let God's Word produce this unwavering faith on the inside of you, so that your words are not empty repetitions, but carriers of power to bring about what God has promised.
