1 Thessalonians 2:12 (AMPC): "To live lives worthy of God, Who calls you into His own kingdom and the glorious blessedness [[b]into which true believers will enter after Christ's return]."
As God's children, we have a glorious hope. We get to live and prepare for the glorious eternity awaiting us. The Bible says our life on this side of Jesus' return is like a vapour compared to what happens after we leave this earth to be with Him. For those who live in denial of Jesus, the reality is far worse than can be described in words - but for the child of God, it is truly marvellous! The knowledge of this truth puts us in a serious position of responsibility. We must live the life we are called to live. Realising the urgency of the hour and the countless lives that are at stake - we must abandon every selfish ambition and get on board with our Father's plan to save those who are lost. Being convinced of who we are in Christ and what we have been empowered and commissioned to do - draws us closer to hear His heart and obey every instruction He stirs within us. Like a child who is completely loved, and willingly obeys to bring pleasure to his Father, we do the same. We are to live worthy of our glorious inheritance in eternity, by selflessly loving others the way our Heavenly Father loves us
