Strength in Words of Faith

2 Chronicles 32:7-8 (NKJV): “‘Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed… for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.’ And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.”

As a child of God, the words that flow from your mouth each day should build and encourage those who hear them! Understand, your words reveal the state of your heart. King Hezekiah was known for his trust in the Lord, and he had a track record to prove God’s faithfulness. That’s why, in the face of the most ferocious enemy that was sure to destroy them, his people were encouraged and strengthened when Hezekiah spoke. The Assyrian army were known for their barbaric, inhumane war tactics, and they held Jerusalem under siege. But God told Hezekiah that because he obeyed Him, and refused to bow to the foreign king, He would fight for them. That very night, God sent a single angel to kill 185,000 Assyrian warriors in their tents and gave Hezekiah and his people a glorious victory! When we make a stand for righteousness, no matter the threat of those opposing us, God will take it personally as an attack on Himself, and single-handedly destroy the threat, and hand us the victory! Today, speak words of faith that reveal your trust in God.  It will strengthen and encourage those who stand with you for His righteousness, and together you will watch Him take you from victory to victory.
