Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NKJV): "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit."
It is possible to lose a sense of awe and gratitude towards the miraculous way God continuously moves on our behalf - especially when we become distracted by the trouble around us. The Israelites of old experienced 40 years of God's daily provision - divine health, clothes that never wore out, fresh food and water in the desert, warmth and protection at night and shade from the heat by day. Yet, they never stopped grumbling and complaining. Their hearts became calloused and ungrateful, stopping them from seeing the ever-present faithfulness of their God. As a result, they never had the grace to trust Him for anything they faced along their journey. When we choose to see God's hand in all things, every day - we become instinctively sensitive to recognize Him in the smallest to the greatest things. Whether it's a mighty breakthrough in our finances, or healing in our bodies, or a moment of beauty in a sunset or the warmth of a stranger's smile. Recognizing Him in all these things cultivates a heart of joyful gratitude towards Him and deepens our trust in His faithfulness and ability to always be more than enough - all the time! Be ever aware of God's intervention in your life, and purposefully thankful for it! It will secure an irrepressible hope in Him that will see you thrive in every season and circumstance you encounter.
