Psalm 105:38 (NLT): "Egypt was glad when they were gone, for they feared them greatly."

Things turned drastically for the Egyptians when God responded to the cry of His people. The Egyptians were a superstitious people who believed in supernatural signs. So, when the Lord brought a series of devastating plagues upon the land, excepting where the Israelites lived - fear gripped their hearts. They came face to face with the terrifying power of the God of their slaves. For the first time in history they witnessed a power their sorcerers were unable to match or defend them from. The final blow came when the blood of the lamb caused the Israelites to escape the angel of death and walk right out of their captivity. The blood of Jesus has not only saved us out of the kingdom of darkness, where we were once enslaved to sin and its consequences; but has given us a brand-new life of power and authority over our enemy too! No longer do we settle for anything less than what the Word of God has promised us, as His covenant children! No sickness, no lack, no brokenness, or loss is our portion. Because of the blood, we have been given the power to enforce the devil's defeat over our lives and release the abundance of heaven into all we do, wherever we go. It's time to plead the blood and see your enemy, the devil, flee and regret the day he ever tried to mess with you!
