Faith Receives and Removes!

Exodus 14:21-22 (KJV): "Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night ...So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground".

As Christians, we should remember it's normal to face challenges, but it's unbiblical to have them defeat us. Jesus said that while we are in this world we will have trouble, but we should be of good cheer, because He has overcome this world, and deprived it of its power to harm us (John 16:33). So how do we overcome the difficulties we face? The Word says we overcome and have victory by our faith. 1 John 5:4 says, "For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith." Mark 11 teaches us that faith both removes and receives. We receive the fullness of God's promises by faith; and we remove mountains (obstacles to God's promises) by faith. Hebrews 11:29-30 tells us how the Israelites, "...by faith crossed the Red Sea as [though] on dry land, but when the Egyptians tried to do the same thing, they were swallowed up [by the sea]." Their faith carried them to safety, and the same faith destroyed their enemy. No matter how impossible circumstances may seem in the natural - we have the faith of God to not only see His promises become our reality, but also move everything that opposes those promises - right out the way!
