Living from God's Perspective

by Dr Andre and Jenny Roebert
Sunday, 16 May 2021 | Reading taken from Colossians 3:1 (NLT)

Colossians 3:1 (NLT): "Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand."

Now that we have been raised to a new life with our Lord Jesus, we live in two realities. Jesus said that even though we live here, in this natural world, we are no longer from here because we are vitally connected, through Him, to the Kingdom of Heaven. We are born of the Spirit and free to approach the throne room of God, even while our physical bodies are here on earth. The Word of God tells us that even though we live in both realities, they should not have equal prominence in our lives. Colossians 3:1-3 says we must set our sights and fix them on the realities of Heaven. In other words, we must live from Heaven's perspective. It's really having access to heaven's wisdom to solve the problems on earth. We have a vantage point where we don't just have God's view of things, we have access to every spiritual gift and blessing to overcome challenges and influence this world with His love and power too. So, approach God's Word daily, being aware of the Presence of the Holy Spirit within you. He will make God's perspective clear to you, and empower you to apply His wisdom and, in the authority that's yours in Christ Jesus, to live victoriously over all you face on this earth
