Don't Give Up on God's Faithfulness

Genesis 17:5 (AMPC): "Nor shall your name any longer be Abram [high, exalted father]; but your name shall be Abraham [father of a multitude], for I have made you the father of many nations."

The promise God had covenanted with Abraham had to be received by faith, through Abraham's seed and Sarah's womb. As impossible as this was in the natural, God expected them to believe Him at His Word, and keep believing until it came to pass. You may believe for a promise from God to be fulfilled in your life, but you've become impatient in the waiting and you've even tried to make it happen your own way, through your own reasoning, instead of how God said He would do it. Know that God sees your situation and He knows just how you are going to see His promise become your reality. In Hebrews 6:12 it says we will receive every promise through faith, which is absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness; and by practice of patient endurance. No matter how long it takes, don't walk away from God's promise by short circuiting your faith. Refuse to doubt God's Word and refuse the temptation to take matters into your own hands by settling for second best. Hebrews 10:23 says, "So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word."
