John 15:16 (AMPC): "You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you."

Fruit is evidence of what is being produced from the inside out. We were created in the image of God, to produce evidence that we are made of Him, and are full of the same substance He is made of. This is the only way we can accurately represent Him. Jesus said the kind of fruit His Own Spirit produces inside us is persistent and lasting. It doesn't change with the condition of the atmosphere around us. It remains full and vital regardless of the popular opinion of the day. In Mark 11, Jesus cursed a tree for being unfruitful. The reason being, it gave an impression of fruitfulness without real evidence of that fruit. No matter what impression we give to others regarding our life of faith, unless the Word of God is being implanted in us, changing us into the image of Christ - we remain fruitless. Let's stop the impressions and go all out for the real evidence!
