Proverbs 9:12 (NLT): "If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer."

This scripture reminds me of the story in Matthew 7, where the wise man built his house upon the rock, and the foolish man built his upon the sand. It's easy to see the wise man was the one to benefit, since his house remained standing during the storm, on account of it being securely positioned upon a rock solid foundation. As believers, building our lives on the solid rock of God's Word is wisdom that will keep us standing strong through the toughest of life's challenges. God's Word is full of wise instruction, giving us practical wisdom on what to keep our thoughts fixed on, how to speak to situations that arise, and how to respond to all circumstances. It shows us how to have a winning attitude in life that opens the way for favour and increase. The wisdom found in the Word will protect and guards us, and keep us secure and at peace at all times. Trust the Holy Spirit to reveal its truth to you; and as you embrace it, you will find it will promote and bring you honour all the days of your life.
