Ephesians 6:17 (AMPC), “And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.”

When we take the time to regularly meditate on God’s Word the truth we read and think about plants itself, like a seed, into our hearts and minds. The wonderful thing about this seed is that it’s incorruptible and full of life and power. Then, when we turn to the Lord in prayer over a matter the Holy Spirit reminds us of a particular truth, or seed we had previously read and pondered over, causing it to spring up into the forefront of our minds. It actually pops up with a feeling of expectation and excitement, giving us an instant understanding of how it’s applicable to the situation we are praying about. The Holy Spirit quickened that Word to us, causing it to come alive to us with supernatural wisdom, and power, and authority. The Bible says it becomes “the sword of the Spirit”. We can declare that word over our situation and stand on its truth, trusting in it completely -  confidently knowing that nothing and no one will ever be able to stop it from fulfilling exactly what it says.  Take up your sword of the Spirit and let its truth rule today!
