Provision Through Obedience

Isaiah 1:19 (NLT): "If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat."

This particular verse is a conditional promise from God. If we are willing to obey Him, He promises to provide our needs. There are people who will argue about God's promises being conditional, saying that in the New Covenant there are no conditions to receiving His provision and blessing. But that would be contrary to what the Word teaches. In John 15:7, Jesus said that if we abide in Him, and His Words remain and continue to live in our hearts, we can ask anything of Him and He will give it to us. Matthew 6:33 also plainly explains that only when we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (His way of being and doing right) will every one of our needs be met. Choosing to put God and His Word first in our lives remains the condition for His provision and blessing. That's because knowing God and His Word produces faith, which causes us to believe in His goodness and faithfulness towards us (Hebrews 11:6). When we draw near to the Lord and obey what His Spirit reveals to us to do, we can expect to live in the reality of every one of His promises. So let your willing and obedient heart place you in the centre of His supernatural provision today.
