2 Samuel 6:11 (NLT): "The Ark of the Lord remained there in Obed-edom's house for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and his entire household."

When King David transported the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem, instead of heeding the Lord’s instruction to have it carried on the shoulders of the priests, he decided to place it on a wagon. Needless to say, things went horribly wrong, and a man named Uzzah paid for it with his life. As a result of this tragedy, David decided to not take the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem, and instead left it in the home of Obed-edom. Since the Presence of the Lord resided in the Ark, it caused Obed-edom's entire household to prosper. Think about this for a moment; a wooden box, covered with gold, placed inside someone’s home, brought about prosperity and abundance, because it carried the Presence of God within it. How much more should we expect a life of prosperity and abundance to flow in our lives, since we have become carriers of the indwelling Presence of God? Recognise Who lives inside you today. Allow Him free reign in your life, and see how His Presence will cause everything concerning you to prosper!
