Genesis 1:26 (KJV): "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..."

From scripture we understand that a human being is a spirit (inner man), that has a soul (intellect, will and emotions), and lives in a physical body. These three parts are each responsible for specific functions in a person's life. The spirit, or inner man, communicates with God; the soul, being our minds, controls how we live or conduct our lives; and our bodies have direct contact and communication with our physical environment. The key to living in God's perfect will for our lives is having our reborn spirits influence the control center of our lives - our minds. When they do, God's nature begins to dominate the way we think, speak, and act in life. How do we get our spirits to dominate our minds, which in turn influence our bodies? We reprogram them to follow after His nature. This process is called renewing our minds, and we do this by meditating on God's written Word. Strengthen your spirit daily by the Word and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit - you will be amazed at how your life takes on the image of the One Who lives inside you.
