Move with Him

This verse says that we live and move and exist in God. One commentary says the expression "in Him" evidently means by him; by his originally forming us, and continually sustaining us. No words can better express our constant dependence on God. He is the original fountain of life, and He upholds us each moment we live. Without Him, we simply can't be filled with life and peace and hope and joyful, inner strength. Now, here's something rather interesting; according to the Strongs concordance, the Greek word for 'in', as 'in Him', relates to a position of rest. So, when we understand our position in Christ Jesus, where we are in soul harmony with Him, we find ourselves in a position of rest. In other words, when we have chosen to make His thoughts our own by daily being in His Word, and choosing to surrender our will to His, in all we do; we can trust Him to be the One to initiate and direct every move we make, continuously, right through life. This coincides with the familiar Proverb that tells us to acknowledge the Lord in all things so He will direct our paths. The point is, we were never meant to live independently from God. He should be reflected in everything we do, and every response we make. When He is, we can rely on His unmistakable leading us by His Presence, one glorious day at a time. Cultivating an awareness of Him being an intricate part of all we are and do, makes us listen more intently to His promptings, and eager to follow His lead. So go where He tells you to go, do what He leads you to do and live full, continuously satisfied by being at rest in a Him.
