The late Kenneth Hagin spoke about the difference between heart and head knowledge. Head knowledge has to do with our mental intellect and logic, where we grasp a believable understanding of something, based on the information we receive from our physical senses. Heart knowledge is something entirely different. This is when we understand and believe something based on faith. This kind of knowledge works from the inside out, not the outside in. Jesus called this kind of knowledge revelation knowledge. It's perceived by our spirits directly from His Spirit, which makes it extremely powerful; because it becomes permanently engraved and ingrained in our hearts and minds first, and then influences our destinies. When God speaks truth into your spirit, it feels like someone just switched the light on, and even though you knew about something, you suddenly see it in a new light. And what you see now brings such a joy and confidence, that no one can convince you otherwise. This new truth inside you burns like a fire in your heart, and you can't wait to share it with others. At times the revelation is just for you, for your own personal growth and benefit. In which case, when you embrace it with your whole heart, you will be overwhelmed by the fruit it produces in you, not to mention the joy of experiencing a deeper, more meaningful relationship with the Holy Spirit. But, revelations like this don't just drop in your lap by chance. You have to meditate on the Word of God, and search the Spirit of God for them. 1 Corinthians 2:7 says God has hidden these revelations in His Word for you to receive from His Holy Spirit to lift us into the glory of His presence! And there is no place like His glory is there! This is where there is pure wisdom, peace, increase and joy unspeakable. Can you imagine bringing that kind of atmosphere into your life every single day? You certainly can, if you choose to make God your priority, and dive into the treasure of His Word, expecting to have the Holy Spirit reveal His heart knowledge to you.
