How Do I Receive From God?

Everyone has needs. They could be physical, material, mental or spiritual, but we all have them, and each one can be met by God. The question is how do we receive from Him? The Word says it has everything to do with where our hearts are. In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus taught that making God and His kingdom our first priority, will result in not just our every need being met, but the desires of our hearts too. Psalms 37:4-5 says, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass." God wants to see us blessed in every way so we can further His kingdom and be a blessing to others. He is the Possessor of heaven and earth, everything belongs to Him and He will hold no good thing from those who walk uprightly before Him (Psalm 84:11). Look at the life of Abraham, he was exceedingly rich as a result of his covenant with God. He made living for God His priority, He gave to Him first and he was extremely generous to others, as a result, God blessed him with more than he could even ask. God wants us to continuously live in His provision, and when our priorities are in order, our prayers of faith will hold weight. In Mark 11:24, Jesus said prayers of faith will produce results, because they don't include doubt. Doubt only comes from us not being convinced that God wants us to be blessed. Everything Jesus went to the cross for is what He desires for you and I to walk in now. Healing, deliverance, freedom from the curse of poverty; as a child of God, all this is ours to have and enjoy. In fact, when we are in Christ Jesus, every promise in His Word is for us, including the promise of wisdom to make the right choices in life. So get your heart connected to God's, ask in faith, and you will receive all He has promised you.
