Where is your heart?

Martin Luther echoed Jesus' words in Matt 6:21 when he said: "Whatever a man loves - that is his god because he carries that within his heart." We are empowered by what we hold dear to our hearts because it becomes our motivation in life. When God becomes our first love, His interests become our priority and our hearts are engaged into doing His will before and above our own. As a result, the blessing of the Lord enriches and enables us to reach out and bless even the nations of the earth. Having a heart that seeks after God and His kingdom first, causes us to have every one of our needs and desires met in abundance. Search your heart today making sure that nothing takes place of your affection and devotion to Him. No earthly treasure can ever compare to the joy, pleasure, protection and provision of knowing and serving God as our first love in this life. Matthew 6:33 reminds us that in seeking Him and His interests first, we will walk in the abundance of all we could ever need or desire.
