This scripture tells us that faith not only receives, it also removes! What obstacles do you need to be removed out of your way in order for you to walk in the reality of God's promises today? According to the Word, our faith is well able to remove them all. Did you realise that Jesus didn't say we must ask Him to remove the mountain, or obstacle that stands between us and our promise? He said we are to speak to the mountain, and command it to be removed. And we are to do it with a confidence that it will do exactly what we say. He has given us the authority to speak to any and every mountain because of who we are in Him. In Matthew 28:18, Jesus said all authority and power in heaven and on earth has been given to Him, and in Ephesians 2:5-8, we are told that we have inherited the very life of Christ and are in complete unity with Him. We have been given His Name that is above every name and to which everything must bow. When we understand the power and authority that we have been given because we are one in Christ Jesus, we will never be intimidated by any mountain or obstacle that has set itself up against us walking in the full promises of God. Do you remember how after Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, Pharaoh gave chase after them. The Israelites faced a predicament - behind them was Pharaoh and the Egyptian army, and in front of them, the Red Sea. Moses, who stood firm, spoke to his mountain, the very obstacle that stood in the way of their promised freedom, and declared to the people: "The Egyptians you see now you will never see again!". The Red Sea opened up for them, and their pursuers were destroyed when it closed on top of them. Today, take one last look at your mountain and know that once you speak to it, by faith, it will be removed - never to be seen again!
