Pleasing the Heart of the King

by Dr Andre and Jenny Roebert
Thursday, 08 February 2018 | Reading taken from Esther 2:15 AMPC

Esther won the kings heart by only desiring what was pleasing to him. Where she could have chosen jewels and expensive garments of her own choice, she was humble and wise enough to take the advice of the man who knew the king better than anyone else. As a result, she gained favour in the sight of all who saw her. When we choose to put our own choices aside to seek the counsel of the Holy Spirit, Who knows Jesus better than anyone else; we not only please the heart of our king, but win favour with others too. Jesus said loving God is choosing His will above our own. Now, when we realise that His will is to bless us and have us prosper in all areas of our lives, choosing His way over our own, is a joy far more than it is a sacrifice. Take time to yield to the Holy Spirit today, so you can live pleasing the heart of your King.
