God's Word is the final authority and gauge by which all things in life must be measured. It is the ultimate truth and anything that contradicts its ageless wisdom, will never stand the test of time. To many it may seem to be just a historical book, filled with outdated principles that no longer hold relevance in the modern world. But those who have delved into its teachings and discovered its practical wisdom, have embraced its ability to transform their lives. God's Word is alive, and when we open our hearts and minds to it, we welcome its power to burn up all that is false and superficial in our lives. All things that restrict the flow of true joy and peace, and wisdom for life, can never withstand the purifying fire that burns in the Spirit of the Word of God. As we surrender to its truth, it will cleanse our souls, and like a consuming fire, expose our self-centred motives, and burn up all mindsets that bring bondage and defeat. God's Word reveals the very essence of Who He is and what His kingdom is built on. And when we embrace it, we embrace Him. Let's choose to align our lives with His will today, and allow His Spirit to burn away the things that hold no eternal significance. Then watch how God's Word will open the floodgates for His flow of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost!
