Did you know that refusing to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit and apply His principles to our lives, is a form of disconnecting from the Vine. For instance, choosing to hold onto a grudge or harbouring an offence against someone, is violating His will. We once heard Jeremy Pearsons speak on this subject, he said, "You can't abide in Him (Jesus) while you disconnect with something that is of Him." Forgiveness is God's will for our lives. Offence breaks the intimate connection we have with Jesus, and it could be the main cause for unanswered prayer in our lives. If we find ourselves failing to receive, we may need to see if we are truly abiding in the Vine.
