Being part of the 12 spies, Joshua and Caleb saw what everyone else did. The contrast came in their perspective to the challenges ahead. The didn't measure themselves against the overwhelming odds, instead they measured the impossibilities against their God. Their hearts and minds were fixed on the promises of God and that alone was their point of reference to immediately move forward. When we have God's Word on it, no matter what the odds, like Joshua and Caleb, we can confidently say, “...we are well able to go and possess the land”.
